This training will cover the CBOX-101 2 day course with insight into ColdBox 3.0.0.
We are also scheduling a 3 day training: 2 days of CBOX-101 and a full day of hands on workshop before Scotch on the Road in Amsterdam from October 22-24. We will post the registration forms soon in the main ColdBox training site, so stay tuned.
Also, please read the full press release and if you are interested in becoming a certified trainer for your region, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sana Ullah, from Team ColdBox, started this project a while back and it has gotten quite some traction that we are now releasing a 1.0 of this extension for Adobe ColdFusion Builder.
If you do not know that we now have a ColdFusion IDE then you have been living under a rock. Anyways, you can get the beta of Adobe ColdFusion Builder first and then follow to install our ColdBox Platform Utilities extension.
Our ColdFusion Builder extension can generate 3 custom coldbox templates and you can even extend it to create your own layouts. It comes packaged with three layouts: Advanced, Simple and Flex ColdBox templates.
You can then generate handlers, interceptors, plugins, model objects, views and so much more. You can even choose between tag based and full cfscript syntax.
Cannot lock session scope.
CFLock cannot be used to lock the application or session shared scopes without these scopes being established through the use of the CFApplication tag. If you want to use the session scope you need to enable session management. Application and/or Session variables must also be enabled in the ColdFusion Administrator.
Most likely you either do not have sessionmanagement enabled in your Application.cfm or Application.cfc or you are trying to use a session lock within your onApplicationStart() method of Application.cfc.
This is a reminder and a gotcha that session scope does not exist until onApplicationStart() finishes executing. The interesting thing also, is that in Railo 3.1 session does exist!
Anyways, beware the lock of session or acessing session from onApplicationStart().
I read to my delight today on the plane that the Community Awards at Cfunited had voted ColdBox as the best open source project of the year. This is like an Oscar to me :)
Anyways, you can find the recording and presentation here:
